Aka Hiruko / Haine ( 別名ヒルコ / ヘイネ, Hiruko Aka) Voiced by: Misaki Kuno The goddess of the island, Hiruko-sama, the mother of all Shadows. Shiori Kobayakawa ( 小早川 栞, Kobayakawa Shiori) Voiced by: Rie Kugimiya The suspiciously reserved little girl, whom Ushio saves from drowning. Tetsu Totsumura ( 凸村 哲, Totsumura Tetsu) Voiced by: Yōji Ueda The local and only police officer on the island, the sleazy Totsumura is also a relative of the Kofune family. Ginjirō Nezu ( 根津 銀次郎, Nezu Ginjirō) Voiced by: Jin Urayama An elderly resident of the island and ally of Hizuru against the growing conflict on the island.


Tokiko Hishigata ( 菱形 朱鷺子, Hishigata Tokiko) Voiced by: Maki Kawase Sō's little sister and Mio's close friend. She is a trained combatwoman, able to kill Shadows. Hizuru Minakata ( 南方 ひづる, Minakata Hizuru) / Ryūnosuke Nagumo ( 南雲 竜之介, Nagumo Ryūnosuke) Voiced by: Yōko Hikasa A mysterious woman, who comes to the island on the same ferry as Shinpei, where they meet, and cross paths more times during their separate investigations of the island. Sō Hishigata ( 菱形 窓, Hishigata Sō) Voiced by: Kensho Ono Shinpei's best friend on the island, who is in love with Mio. Mio Kofune ( 小舟 澪, Kofune Mio) Voiced by: Saho Shirasu Ushio's shy little sister, who has a crush on Shinpei. In reality, she was killed by Shadow Shiori and copied, believing she was the real Ushio who had survived. Ushio Kofune ( 小舟 潮, Kofune Ushio) Voiced by: Anna Nagase Shinpei's brazen adoptive sister, who supposedly drowned while saving Shiori. As he encounters the Shadows, he realizes his ability to time travel back to the day of July 22nd upon death. Now haunted by her ghost and assisted by Mio, Shinpei tries to find the answers to what really happened to Ushio and possibly save the residents from a strange dark enigma.Ĭharacters Shinpei Ajiro ( 網代 慎平, Ajiro Shinpei) Voiced by: Natsuki Hanae A kind-hearted teenager, Shinpei returns to the small island to attend his adoptive sister's funeral, subsequently finding out about the strange occurrences on said island. He returns to the isolated island town, but becomes suspicious when he notices that Ushio's body has marks around her neck implying that she was strangled. In adulthood, Shinpei lives in Tokyo, until he hears the startling news that Ushio passed away by drowning.
